The instrument dates from the Mint Collection period, which is considered to be one of the best stages in the history of Greco guitar production. The guitars of this series are famous for their very high quality performance and attention to detail. The JS-55 stylistically refers to Les Paul Custom guitars associated with instruments used by John Sykes (Think Lizzy, Whitesnake) in the 1980s. Black finish, block markers and classic humbuckers configuration form a very distinctive rock instrument. The guitar retained the original accessories and electronics. The instrument is equipped with factory pickups Maxon Screamin (1982) – valued Japanese humbuckers produced by Maxon for Greco guitars.
