The Epiphone Les Paul Custom LPC-80 guitar produced in 2001 at the famous FujiGen Gakki factory in Japan – exclusively for the Japanese domestic market (Japan Domestic Market). A little LPC-80 story is the successor to the iconic Orville by Gibson line – Japanese guitars produced by FujiGen commissioned by Gibson and in collaboration with the Yamano Gakki distributor. When the Orville series ended in the mid-1990s, it was replaced by Epiphone Japan models – built in the same factory, with the same quality standards. The LPC-80 series was produced only between 1998 and 2002 , meaning that these copies are now over 20 years old and are no longer available as new ones. What distinguishes LPC-80 from ordinary Epiphones available in the world? First of all, the classic Gibson-style “open book” with split-diamond inlay – rare in non- Gibson models.
